UTV News: UK ICO fines Belfast Trust £225,000

The UK Information Commissioner's Office has fined the Belfast Health Trust £225,000 for failure to protect the sensitive information of Belvoir Park Cancer Hospital patients. Approximately 20,000 patients’ medical records were discovered abandoned at the hospital, which closed in 2006. UK ICO issues guidance on Data Protection Directive compliance
