NAID-ANZ conference to provide unique insights into market development

Only days before registration officially opens for the 2013 NAID-ANZ Conference, event planners urge members to plan on attending the one-day industry summit. The event will be packed with unique educational and market awareness content.

“Most people have never attended a full blown press conference, not to mention a press conference that is specifically aimed at raising awareness about their industry,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “If our experience is anything like similar events held in Toronto, Madrid, and London, there will be plenty of opportunities for members to get significant media exposure.”

Johnson is referencing the mid-morning press conference during the summit where the association will release the findings of its Disposal Habits Study currently underway. Previous such events were responsible for raising a national dialog on secure destruction practices in markets.

And, there’s a lot to look forward to besides the press conference. Educational session offered during the day include an opening from an official of Australian Information Privacy Office, opportunities in e-waste, a panel of security and privacy official discussing how they view destruction services, and in depth review of how companies around the globe are using social media to increase brand awareness.

The 2013 NAID-ANZ Conference, titled “Shining a Light: The Path to a Better Industry,” will be held on Feb. 19, 2013,at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney, Australia. Registration officially opens Tuesday, Dec. 1. Advanced registration is only USD $149.
