NAID Directors approve new European initiatives and certification options


At the NAID Board of Directors meeting on 28th July, a number of new programs and initiatives included in the proposed USD$3 million budget.  More than a few of those programs will have an impact on the association’s efforts in Europe.

Included are Trash Contents Studies in Spain and the UK (see MADRID TRASH CONTENTS STUDY above), and the eventual creation of training and sales videos, first for the UK, and eventually for other markets as well.

Additionally, the NAID Directors approved a new certification program to verify the security and processes of companies that removed data from solid state memory devices and mobile phones. NAID also clarified the circumstances under which mobile destruction equipment can be used to provide destruction in a plant based environment.
