NAID-CANADA DELEGATION TESTIFIES AT BRITISH COLUMBIA HEARINGS

On February 6, 2008, NAID-Canada’s Past Chair, Sheldon Greenspan, and its Executive Director, Bob Johnson, testified before British Columbia’s committee conducting the legislative review of the province’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

NAID-Canada’s primary goal, including a definition of reasonable destruction within the law, seemed to resound with the committee during the question and answer period that followed the testimony. It did not hurt that similar committees in Alberta and at the federal level have adopted this recommendation when NAID-Canada made it.
