BOARD APPOINTS NEW NAID-AUSTRALASIA CHAIRMAN
 
A vacancy in post of NAID-Australasia Committee Chair has been filled. On Wednesday, February 14th, the NAID Board of Directors approved the appointment of Van Karas of Shred-X in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to fill the post vacated with the resignation of Stephen Howard. 
 
Upon making the appointment, NAID President Nate Segall commended Mr. Howard’s stewardship of the regional committee in the two years since its founding. The committee has grown quickly and provided critical input on Australia’s legislative review of the country’s privacy legislation.  As Mr. Karas takes the helm, the group is now preparing for its first regional, industry-wide summit meeting and an audience with one of the country’s top policy makers.
