NAID/WISE HEALTHCARE INSURANCE WEBTOOL LAUNCHED

Obtaining health insurance at competitive group rates is difficult for small businesses and next to impossible for individuals. NAID has established an agreement with a web-based healthcare insurance clearinghouse and is therefore able to offer its members in the United States, and their employees, direct access to healthcare benefits. The site actually reviews available options from a number of top tier underwriters and gives the individual the decision regarding the coverage that is best for them.

The website also features direct access to healthcare insurance specialists via the help line phone numbers listed on the site. These specialists are licensed to provide council on healthcare in all 50 states, and are crucial in ensuring that program participants receive streamlined processing of claims, as well as assistance in choosing the appropriate coverage and for understanding how the program works.

Willis Insurance, the company working with NAID to develop this program, provided an orientation at the 2007 NAID Conference and judging by attendance, the program is spawning much interest.

Currently, NAID Members may access the program only via their Members’ Only username and password. In the coming weeks, NAID will announce a system for employees of NAID Members to directly access the website without financial assistance of the employer.

Neither NAID nor the NAID Member-company will incur any obligation to any individual obtaining healthcare-related insurance via this program. The relationship is strictly established between the insurance carrier and the individual.
