PERSONAL RECORDS LEFT UNPROTECTED IN NEW ORLEANS SCHOOL DISTRICT WAREHOUSE

According to a report on April 28th by Bigad Shaban of WWL in New Orleans a “mountain” of abandoned school district records, many containing personal information, have been left unprotected in a damaged, unlocked and unguarded warehouse for the 4 years since Hurricane Katrina.

According to the report, finger pointing is about the only thing happening to resolve the issue.  FEMA has earmarked funds to repair or replace the massive warehouse but authorities were attempting to redirect the funds toward the building of new schools.
