DEFUNCT TRUCKING COMPANY SOURCE OF ABANDONED RECORDS

Eric Harryman of Williamsburg, VA-Based WAVY reported on April 24th that eight boxes, overflowing with confidential documents, were found in a dumpster behind a local grocery store.

According to the report the boxes contained medical records, tax forms, voided checks and copied credit cards.

The information had belonged to a trucking company that had been purchased by another firm two years ago.  The report did not detail whether authorities intended to investigate or pursue the incident.
