ALBERTA PRIVACY COMMISSIONER LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION ON DUMPED MEDICAL RECORDS
 
Articles posted to the websites of both the Edmonton Sun and radio station CHED report that Alberta’s Information and Privacy Commissioner has launched an investigation to discover how medical records came to be casually discarded in a public Edmonton dumpster.

According to the reports, the information was highly sensitive.  The article also states that authorities are condemning the casual disregard for privacy and promising to get to the bottom of the incident.
