NAID/ASTM Secure Destruction Safety Standards Committee to Meet in October

Bookmark and Share

The initiative lead by NAID to work with ASTM to develop safety guidelines for the secure destruction industry will take another step forward this October when the committee meets again in Miami.

The committee has met in a formal capacity twice, once at the ASTM Bi-Annual Standards Committee meetings held last November in Tampa and, again, in Anaheim following the 2008 NAID Conference and Expo. Already, the group has developed a draft of the industry safety guidelines which ASTM policy writers have redrafted to conform to their standards format and protocol. At the meeting in October, the committee will be reviewing the redrafted standards to identify areas requiring more attention, definition and/or clarification.
