An article by Matthew Moore posted to the website of the Sydney Morning Herald (Sydney, Australia) on May 6th reports that recycling bins, full of confidential medical information were left outside behind a hospital completely accessible to the public.

According to the article, six of the twelve bins were locked but another six were unlocked and brimming over with the most sensitive of information. According to the report, a hospital employee complained that he could not get enough security bins as the facility was preparing to move from one building to the next. The report further states that he never thought this type of information would be placed outside unprotected.
