Shred-Tech Announces Promotions

On February 14, 2008, NAID Associate Member-company Shred-Tech announced the appointments of Joe Roberto as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, and Cheryl Rutledge as Human Resources Manager. 

According to the release, as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Roberto will be overseeing the company’s worldwide sales and marketing initiatives, as well as its dealer activities.  

As Human Resources Manager, Rutledge will be responsible for developing and managing employment and training programs, salary compensation, job evaluations and benefits. 

Previously, Roberto served as the company’s sales manager, where he was responsible for supervising Shred-Tech’s sales activities and bolstering the company’s worldwide sales team.  Under Joe’s leadership the company reports a 27 percent increase in total sales. Prior to joining Shred-Tech in 2004, Roberto was a Shred-Tech customer as president and partner at Kwik-Shred, a document shredding company based in Chicago. 

Prior to her promotion, Rutledge was human resources coordinator, where she established standardized policies and procedures and brought continuity to the company’s employment policies across the entire organization. Prior to joining Shred-Tech in 2003, Ms. Rutledge served as the executive assistant to the Chairman and CEO of CCL Industries Inc. Rutledge received her Human Resource Management Certification from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. 

The company reports that it manufactures nearly 200 mobile shredder trucks a year and that as of this year it will have approximately 2,000 of its trucks in operation in North America.
