SIMS Acquires Canadian Electronics Processor

NAID Associate Member, Sims Recycling Solutions, has acquired Accu-Shred, one of Ontario’s leading end-of-life electronics recyclers.

Sims Recycling Solutions currently operates a state–of-the-art facility in Brampton, Ontario, providing 100% electronic hardware recycling. The site has a capacity to process 35 million pounds of end-of-life electronics annually. Sims had previously acquired the operations for Noranda Recycling in Canada, as well as the operations of United Recycling, a large e-scrap operation in Illinois, USA.

Sims Recycling Solutions, headquartered in Australia, already operates 6 other electronics recycling facilities in North America and has over 150 operations worldwide, covering metal recycling, plastics recycling, end-of-life electronic recycling, precious metals refining, manufacturing and green energy.
