Cash Reconstructed After Accidental Shredding

According to a story by Ben Shouse in the Argus Leader on November 19, 2007, one day last summer Matt Claeys, general manager of NAID Member-company Absolute Mobile Shredding in Sioux City, Iowa, learned that one of his trucks had shredded some US currency which had been contained in materials that a customer had turned over for destruction.

Matt was able to figure out who the money belonged to, but before notifying them, he contacted the Mutilated Currency Division of the US Treasury.
