Criminal Stole Ball Players' Information from Dumpster

A story by Tony Gordon in the Daily Herald on November 29th reports that a Chicago man, faces over a decade in jail after pleading guilty to using information he found in the dumpster behind Northbrook, Illinois-based SFX Baseball, Inc. to establish bogus credit cards.

The financial records of almost 100 professional baseball players were in the man’s possession when he was arrested last year. The charge against the man is Aggravated Identity Theft.
