An article posted on November 30th to the website of Kansas City-Based Fox News 4, reports that employees of a local temporary placement service were outraged when informed that their personal information had been discarded, unshredded, into the dumpster behind the building were the firm is located.

Evidently, a passer-by notified the TV station, who interceded to protect the information.

According to the report, information included copies of employees’ W-2 forms, containing social security numbers, home addresses and telephone numbers.

NAID Member-company Media Services was interviewed for the article.
