Bookmark and Share

In an article by Ian Grant posted September 21st to ComputerWeekly.com the Liberal Democrats reportedly called for reform of the Data Protection Act. According to the report MP Nick Clegg (pictured here) is stating that it is "10 years out of date."

Among the reform items is increasing the powers and resources of those responsible for holding the government and private companies to account for compliance.

This is welcome news to the information destruction community in the UK, since the current Data Protection Directives are viewed as not carrying much weight.
