On July 19th, the Pennsylvania-based maker of the document destruction industry’s first self-pay ID theft prevention vault, ShredStation, announced that it hired Owen Murphy to lead their marketing efforts. Serving as Chief Marketing Officer, Murphy will develop and implement integrated marketing programs for ShredStation, Inc. and its multiple service divisions.

According to the recent release, Murphy’s hire comes on the heels of three additional senior level executives brought on to manage growth and service expansion including Henry Peglar, Director of Sales and National Account Manager; Andy Benson, Vice President of Licensing and Partner Relations; and Mike Kline, CFO of ShredStation, Inc.

"This year has brought about considerable growth and we’ve even further expanded our offerings to meet the growing demand for consumer document and e-media destruction," said Al Villamil, President, ShredStation. "Murphy brings several years of document destruction industry knowledge to ShredStation. He’s certain to play a critical role in taking ShredStation to the next level of consumer awareness and company growth."

Providing consumers access to self-service information destruction, ShredStation vaults stand at just over four feet tall and are similar in design to a FedEx or DHL package drop box. ShredStation vaults accept a variety of data formats, including floppy disks, compact discs, credit cards, paper clips, staples and other binding material.

ShredStation Vaults are available at a variety of retail locations throughout the country including banks, office supply stores, mail and shipping centers, copy centers and grocery stores.

The firm says that ShredStation Vaults are soon to be available at more than 500 locations in a variety of retail stores, grocery chains and business centers throughout the Arizona, Florida, California, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Utah and Minnesota markets.
