Provinicial Privacy Official Speaks Out on Information Protection Practices

In the July 19th edition of the Edmonton Journal, a letter to the editor by the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta Frank J. Work complimented the newspaper on a series of articles on Identity Theft.

He further highlights the role and responsibility of businesses in safeguarding personal information. According Mr. Work, "every business in Canada has a statutory duty to safeguard personal information."
