NAID Approved to Head ASTM/ANSI Safety Standards Committee

Bookmark and Share

On April 20, 2007, NAID received word from the ASTM that it had been approved to head a committee within the standards organization to develop health and safety standards for the security destruction industry.

This is the first success of the recently created NAID Health and Safety Committee, chaired by Roger Williams (NAID Member-company, American Baler)  and will further solidify NAID’s position as the acknowledged standards setting body for the secure destruction industry.

The project is expected to take 18 months to complete. It will result in the first health and safety standard to deal with the unique profile of secure destruction operations both plant-based and mobile.
