Data Privacy Bill Expected Soon

According to an article in the Washington Post on February 2, 2007, by Brian Krebs, information privacy will likely be a large focus in Congress in 2007, due in part to interest from the new House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.).

NAID is gearing up its government relations contacts in the nation’s capitol to determine whether this new initiative is finally a suitable vehicle for the country’s first comprehensive national data destruction law.
