2006 NAID Conference Hotel Almost Sold Out

Bookmark and Share

Even though it is two weeks before the 2006 NAID Conference Brochure is mailed, and three months before the event, the Arizona Biltmore is reporting that it is almost sold out on the nights of "peak" demand, and is ALREADY sold out on the evening of the day the event ends. This is despite the fact that NAID substantially increased its housing block over that of last year’s record setting conference.

The hotel is reporting about 85% of the housing block has been reserved for Sunday and Monday (May 14th and 15th), and 140% of the rooms set aside for Tuesday (May 16th) have been sold, effectively creating a "sold-out" condition on the last night.

For those yet to make their reservations, who would like to also stay at the Biltmore on Tuesday night, the resort is keeping a waiting-list in case rooms are released from other reservation blocks after April 1st. Typically, more than half of the attendees at the conference return home the day of the final sessions and so do not need accommodations that night.

NAID has sold out every conference hotel for the last three years running, however, it has never sold this many rooms this far in advance. Conference planners speculate that the overwhelming response at such an early date is a result of a combination of growing interest in the industry, as well as the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay at a resort like the Arizona Biltmore for such a low rate.
