Bookmark and Share

The General Accounting Office (GAO) recently released a report titled, "ELECTRONIC WASTE: Strengthening the Role of the Federal Government in Encouraging Recycling and Reuse."

Among the topics discussed in the 58 page report are how the growing volume of used electronics may pose environmental and health problems if not managed properly, how the cost and regulatory factors deter recycling and reuse of used electronics, and how federal efforts to increase recycling and reuse of used electronics can be strengthened.

There is little or no mention of information protection or security anywhere in the publication.
