Over $57,000 was recently donated to the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) children’s cancer programs and "The Heart Connection," a camp for kids with cancer and their siblings in Iowa, thanks to the 200-plus generous participants in the Ockenfels Family Foundation/City Carton Recycling 11th Annual Charity Golf Outing,

The event is held annually in memory of Deborah Ockenfels, daughter of City Carton Recycling founders Mort and Marcy Ockenfels, who died of cancer in 1972 at the age of 17. City Carton Recycling is the parent company of Document Destruction and Recycling Services. Current NAID President Chris Ockenfels is the Regional Manager of DDRS and of City Carton Recycling.

Over $250,000 has been raised and donated to ACS since the start of the Charity Golf Outing 11 years ago. All of the event expenses are paid by the Ockenfels Family Foundation.
