Federal Trade Commission Signs on for Road Show

The NAID Road Show, titled "Information Disposal: The Risk Management and Compliance Fundamentals" received a big boost last week. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission agreed to provide agency officials to address various compliance issues, and nationally renowned litigation attorney Alan Ross has agreed to speak on the Impact of Records Destruction’s on Litigation, Audits and Investigations.

The NAID Road Shows are designed for the records destruction service consumer to increase their awareness of related issues. The draw of the FTC and Mr. Ross are sure to attract decision makers responsible for records disposal.

Planners are anticipating between 100 and 200 such decision makers will attend the one-day events. Road Shows are currently scheduled for Chicago (Nov. 7th) and San Francisco (Nov. 10th). A Phoenix date is yet to be announced but it will be in mid November.

NAID intends to hold four additional Road Show events in the winter and spring as well.
