The 2005 NAID-Europe Conference, formerly known as WORLD SHRED 2005, will be held on October 24th and 25th in Frankfurt, Germany. The conference hotel is the Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof Hotel in Frankfurt.

Among the sessions currently planned for this year’s NAID-EUROPE Conference is a panel discussion of Data Protection Commissioners from select E.U. member countries to explore the role of document destruction in data protection and cross-border compliance issues. Other sessions will include sales compensation, the role of policies in sales and marketing, NAID Certification and the future of NAID-EUROPE, quality-control issues related to shredded paper, how document destruction can compete with and compliment recycling initiatives, and a panel of security directors, representing major E.U. firms, discussing what they want from a secure destruction company.

This will mark the first year that simultaneous translation will be available at the NAID-EUROPE Conference so that people can hear the discussions in German, French and English in real time.

NAID Members in the U.S. will also be encouraged to attend more than in previous years. Frankfurt is in the heart of the Rhine-Main area of Germany. Rhine-Main is as rich in history as it is beautiful. Considered by many as the Napa Valley of Germany, the area can be reached with non-stop flights into Frankfurt from most major U.S. cities.

There will also be a trade exposition held in conjunction with the NAID-EUROPE conference. Registration forms and exhibiting details will be posted to the NAID website by July 20, 2005. In the meantime, readers can take a look at the conference hotel by clicking below:
