CSDS® Training Starts Next Month

According to a recent straw poll, 95% of the 173 representatives taking the current CTK Webinar series report that they are doing so in preparation for the upcoming Certified Secure Destruction Specialist® (CSDS®) accreditation testing to be held early next year.  It is important to note that the CTK Training will account for roughly 10% of the overall test.

With this in mind the CSDS Task Force expects registration for the upcoming 10-week CSDS Training Webinars to exceed 200 participants.

As for the training, John Mesrobian of Fresno, CA-based Loss Protection and Investigations and current CSDS Task Force Leader, says that NAID is going to rely on the actual test questions to guide the training.

“The thinking is that we provide the background on far more questions than we will be able to test for,” states Mesrobian. “Trainees will simply have to learn the answers to all the questions because they will not know which ones will be used in the test.  We view the accreditation and the training as a way to get secure destruction reps aware of the issues and more knowledgeable on the subject so they can sell better.  The fact that this knowledge might include a new title is just the icing on the cake. Even if someone only wanted to get some intense industry training, this course would be worth it.”
