Close to 100 secure destruction professionals are only a few sessions away from completing the 10-week Certified Secure Destruction Specialist (CSDS™) Training Webinar series in preparation for the first CSDS Testing opportunities.

Just this week NAID has announced that the first two CSDS Tests will be offered in Chicago and in Phoenix on January 21st and January 28th, respectively.

“The training course is not required but it is strongly encouraged,” says CSDS Task Force chair John Mesrobian. “Even with the list of CSDS Training Resources provided last July, the training really distilled the ‘body of industry knowledge’ into a concise, comprehensive and understandable format.”

NAID CEO Bob Johnson adds that the test has been reduced in size. “While participants are being trained on close to 700 distinct factors related to a broad range of industry issues, the test will now be limited to 250 questions; down from the 400 originally planned. The point is, no one will know which on which of the 700 separate items will be covered and so will have to understand them all to pass.”

After the Chicago and Phoenix test dates, the next CSDS Testing opportunity will be in Orlando on March 18th immediately prior to the opening of the NAID Conference.

Another 10-week CSDS Training Webinar series, which would run from the beginning of January right up to the conference, is currently under consideration. An announcement regarding the proposed will be made soon.
