NAID-Canada Board Elections and Conference a Success

Bookmark and Share

Amid the media frenzy surrounding the 2010 NAID-Canada Conference, there was still a conference to hold and the annual election of board members.

As for the elections, Dave Carey of Iron Mountain was elected NAID-Canada Chair, Kristjan Backman of Phoenix Recycling (Winnipeg) was elected as Secretary/Treasurer, and Kevin Perry of Shred Guard (St. John, NB), Mario Skopek of Blue Pencil Mobile Shredding (Toronto), and Wendy Banting of Secure Datashred, Inc. (Toronto) were elected to serve as directors.  Joseph Bozic of dataXile, Ltd. (Toronto) moved to Past-chair, and Tim Oberst of Ohio Mobile Shredding (Columbus, OH) will continue to serve as the NAID Board delegate/liaison to the NAID-Canada Board.  All terms of service are two years.

Many who have attended the event in the past were heard to say that this year’s NAID-Canada Conference has the best line-up of sessions and speakers ever.  All the sessions, starting with three of the nation’s most high-profile privacy officers, to a world-renown competitive intelligence professional, and including the journalist who just a month earlier won an Emmy for his broadcast expose on the exporting of computers, fully engaged the audience and delivered as promised.
