Alliance recommends better privacy protections for health care records

The Alliance for Patients' Mutual Help Organization is urging the government to include security provisions in Hong Kong's Electronic Health Record (eHR) program to protect patient information, reports China Daily. According to the alliance, implementing security would balance the benefits of the program with patient rights. A spokeswoman for the government said the suggestion is being considered.
