Industry veteran selected to fill vacancy on NAID board

I’m disappointed to lose Les so suddenly and soon after his election as secretary, said NAID President Scott Fasken. “But I also understand he has to do what is best for his career and family.”

Recently, Les Etscheidt resigned from the NAID Board of Directors due to an unexpected job offer that has him returning to his primary career in health care management. Prior to his election to the post of secretary, he served two years as a director and the chair of the Certification Review Board.

Fasken added, “We are really going to miss Les’s dedication and work ethic. I am sure he will thrive in his new position and we wish him all the best.”

To fill the vacancy created by Etscheidt’s departure, the board turned to long-standing NAID member John Mesrobian of Loss Prevention and Investigations in Fresno, Calif. Most recently, Mesrobian headed up the CSDS Feasibility Task Force, resulting in the successful launch of the industry’s only professional accreditation program. Prior to that, he served two rotations as a NAID director. Mesrobian also holds a law degree and is an accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), which awarded by the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Mesrobian was appointed and approved by the board during its most recent monthly meeting.
