At the end of July, NAID welcomed a new staff member to the team. Beth Fagan is the new Director of Conferences and Events at the headquarters in Phoenix, Ariz.

“It was very important for us to find a highly qualified professional to manage our growing number of events in the U.S. and around the world,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “Beth has the training and skills to take the lead on NAID’s events from start to finish.”

As a Certified Meeting Professional with more than eight years of event planning experience, primarily for a national health care association, Fagan brings a wealth of knowledge in contract negotiation, event management, association operations, customer service, budgeting and strategic planning. At NAID, her primary responsibilities will be to plan, organize, budget, negotiate and execute association-sponsored workshops, conferences and related events. Throughout the coming months, Fagan will be charged with planning the NAID-Canada Data Destruction Policy and Training Development Workshops in Ontario and Saskatchewan as well as the 2012 European Information Management Conference in Belgium.

“I’m really looking forward to putting together the conferences and having the opportunity to meet members at the conferences,” said Fagan.

In her free time, Fagan enjoys spending time with her young daughter and husband, reading mystery books and cheering on her hometown team, the Arizona Cardinals.
