First CSDS Exams This Week and Next Week

Bookmark and Share

With a lot of preparation behind them, exams conducted in Chicago and Phoenix over the next two weeks will produce the first generation of Certified Secure Destruction Specialists.

The 3 hour CSDS Exam will test the applicant’s knowledge of a wide array of data destruction knowledge, including legislation, risk management principles, records management principles, and data protection principles.  In addition, applicants will be tested on their knowledge of data destruction service operations, NAID Certification and NAID’s Code of Ethics and Complaint Resolution process.

The only remaining testing opportunity will be held in conjunction with the 2011 NAID Conference on March 18th.  Registration to the Conference is NOT required to register for the CSDS Exam, which will be held before the conference starts.

There is also one additional two-day training opportunity scheduled on March 9–10th in Chicago, which is prior to the next Exam.

After the March 18th CSDS Exam, the task force will review the program and likely revise the training materials and the test.
