The recently postponed Data Destruction Policy and Training Development Workshop in Toronto, Ontario is now scheduled for Feb. 26, 2013.

“We postponed the event because of an unavoidable conflict in Dr. Cavoukian’s schedule,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “When you have a globally recognized privacy professional of her stature willing to promote and participate in an event, it justifies making such adjustments.”

As originally planned, Dr. Ann Cavoukian, Ontario’s Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC), will open the workshop and help promote attendance.

More than 40 compliance professional attended the first workshop last month in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan IPC Gary Dickson said, “Thanks so much for your workshop and presentation this morning. Our staff person thought it was terrific and she relayed similar feedback from other attendees. This will definitely help us move the yardsticks to stronger privacy compliance in this province.”

NAID is already on record about its intention to offer the workshops across North America over the coming months and years. Further, NAID is happy to help member-companies stage similar events in their respective markets. Click here for complete details and registration information for the Toronto event.
