Joint Europe conference eyes Amsterdam for 2013 event

As the 2012 European Information Management Conference gets underway, event planners announced they are looking at Amsterdam, Netherlands to host next year’s event.

“We had originally selected Madrid,” said NAID’s Director of Programs and Events Jamie Steimer. “But, when members raised concerns over travel expenses and convenience, we decided to look at alternate host cities.”

“Attendance at this year’s event was down a bit,” added Steimer. “Feedback indicates that is due to the economy as well as the expense of the location. Amsterdam is very favorably positioned when you take those issues into consideration.”

PRISM International Executive Director Dave Bergeson and NAID CEO Bob Johnson will be investigating possible conference venues in Amsterdam immediately following this year’s conference.
