NAID-Canada workshop enlists support of like-minded associations

The partnership between NAID-Canada and the Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner’s Office in the upcoming policy and training development workshop in Toronto is a matter of record. In fact, NAID will only attempt such events when such high-level support is a part of the equation.

Once an event is scheduled, however, the next step is to garner added support from other local professional associations in the area. This support proved invaluable at last fall’s trial workshop in Regina, which was extremely successful.

Among the organizations being enlisted for the upcoming Toronto workshop are the Chief Privacy Officer and Archivist of Ontario Association, the Ontario Medical Association, the Ontario Health Information Management Association, the Retail Council of Canada, the Ontario Hospital Association the Toronto Law Office Management Association, and the Canadian Bankers Association.

“We see such cooperation and partnerships as critical to our long-term customer educational programs,” said NAID-Canada Chairperson Kevin Perry. “Enlisting the participation of these professional organizations and promoting the event to their members leads to a much higher level of participation and credibility.”

The fee to attend this workshop is $99 CAD. For more details or to register, please visit http://bit.ly/2013NAIDCanadaWorkshops. The event will be held at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
