NAID CEO addresses e-waste event

For the second year in a row, NAID CEO Bob Johnson spoke at the Corporate E-waste Disposal Summit held in Chicago, Ill. As usual, Johnson’s comments centered on the importance of due diligence in the selection of IT disposition firms and all vendors given access to sensitive information.

The event, which ran from April 8-10, attracted over 100 professionals responsible for IT disposal decisions at medium and large organizations across the country. Speakers joining Johnson at the event were Cate Berard of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; Julia Kirby, Editor at Large for the Harvard Business Review; Shawn Demerse, Senior Counsel for the Environmental, Health & Safety and Regulatory Affairs for Motorola Solutions, Inc.; Dennis Pettit, Director of Reverse Logistics for T-Mobile; and Catherine Shaw, Environmental Protection Program Manager for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
