June 17, 2013

As the NAID Board of Directors meeting and the end of the fiscal year approaches, the NAID accounting staff would like to remind all members to submit their 2013 dues as soon as possible. Board members will be planning and approving the new budget for 2013-2014 in July, closing out the 2012-2013 fiscal year. Memberships will be lapsed for those members who do not submit their dues, including any NAID certifications associated with the membership. Cease and desist letters will be mailed in July. Once a membership is lapsed, a company can reapply to join NAID at anytime in the future.

NAID is the watchdog association for the secure destruction industry that works on the behalf of its members to educate consumers and organizations about their data protection obligations and to influence legislation.
