The 2014 Certified Secure Destruction Specialist (CSDS) accreditation exams kick off with the first one in Chicago, Ill.

“Our first exam is March 4 at 8 a.m. in Chicago,” said NAID Director of Certification Operations Katie Mahoney. “The exam is typically pretty rigorous but participants have most of the day to complete the exam.”

The CSDS Accreditation Program was designed to educate and acknowledge an individual’s competency in secure destruction. The exam is proctored and consists of 300 multiple-choice questions that test an individual’s expertise in secure destruction, improper disposal, and data protection legislation and best practices.
