NAID CEO Bob Johnson’s reputation as one of the most knowledgeable professionals in the areas of data protection, regulatory issues, policy development, and media destruction continues to grow beyond North America.

On May 20, he will speak at the Information and Records Management Society’s (IRMS) conference in Brighton, U.K. His topic, “Compliance strategies to minimize regulatory and civil liability” provide specific ways for minimizing the likelihood of a data security event as well as tools for demonstrating the organization has exercised the due diligence regulators find reasonable when assessing culpability.

“Data protection regulatory liabilities in the U.K. are beginning to rival those in the United States,” said Johnson. “It is always good when we can talk directly to consumers about the importance of vendor selection and policy development, especially in such a prestigious setting.”

IRMS 2014: Luxury or Necessity will be held May 18-20 at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton, U.K. An estimated 500 information management and security professionals will attend the event.
