The annual, face-to-face NAID Board of Directors meeting will be held Aug. 3-4 in Portland, Ore. The event will include NAID business and mapping out the organization’s continued growth and relevance. Among the topics of discussion will be further promoting NAID certification, rolling out the recently ratified custodial certification, and stimulating international chapter growth.

In addition, the board will decide on association support projects for the coming year. Among the projects being consider are studies in the U.S. market, including consumer attitudes, secondhand hard drives and disposal habits studies.

“We’ve done a number of such studies outside the U.S.” said NAID Public Relations Committee Chair David Surdyk. “And, we learned a lot of valuable lessons. It’s time we use those tools in the states.”

NAID members are welcome to attend the board meeting. Some board proceedings are confidential and those who do attend will be required to leave the meeting room during those times. For more information, contact NAID Director of Events and Programs Jamie Hughes at jhughes@naidonline.org.
