An article by NAID CEO Bob Johnson will appear in the January 2015 edition of ITAK, the professional journal of the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM). The article is about investor rights as the stimulus for effective data protection, breach response and IT asset management.

“There’s no shortage of articles on the impact of data breaches,” said Johnson. “After looking at the dramatic breaches in the last year, it occurred to me that no one had examined how they are affecting investors and how that might be the catalyst for more aggressive mitigation.”

IAITAM is the professional association for individuals and organizations involved in any aspect of IT asset management, software and hardware asset management, mobile asset management, IT asset disposition, and the lifecycle processes.

“It is my hope that this article will help ITAM professionals bring this issue to senior executives,” added Johnson. “When the C-suite sees how data protection and IT asset management are going to affect shareholders and stock prices, they will hopefully give it the priority it requires.”
