ITAK article meant to elevate issue

The latest journal of the International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM) includes a feature by NAID CEO Bob Johnson documenting how the current trajectory of data breaches could logically result in investor activism and how it could affect future breaches.

The article is in IT Asset Knowledge (ITAK), ITAITAM’s magazine, and is titled, “Investor Rights as a Stimulus for Data Protection, Breach Response and IT Asset Management.”

“Whenever I take on a topic, I have two main objectives,” said Johnson. “One is to connect the dots on information from multiple sources, often disparate, in a way that is useful in forecasting future trends. The other is to provide members and their customers with information that elevates the discussion on data protection and information governance to a higher level within the customers’ organizations. If anyone in the boardroom accepts my thesis, they’ll be compelled to take this issue far more seriously.”

Johnson’s article was reprinted with IAITAM permission in the winter 2015 edition of NAIDnews. Click here to read the original article as it appeared in ITAK.
