PHOENIX, ARIZONA – Recently, several individuals were appointed by the National Association for Information Destruction’s (NAID) Board of Directors to serve on councils and committees responsible for protecting the integrity of the association’s code of ethics and certification program.

  • David Culbertson, CSDS, from AmeriTex in Houston, Texas and Sarah Koucky, CSDS, from Shred-it in Cincinnati, Ohio were appointed to serve on the Complaint Resolution Council, which evaluates ethics complaints and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • Darleena Lanier from Shred Pro Services, LLC in Houston, Texas was appointed to the Certification Rules Committee, which is responsible for the operating specifications of the NAID AAA Certification Program.
  • Abby Drebes from On-Site Information Destruction Services of Iowa, LLC in Des Moines, Iowa and Jim McCarthy, CSDS, from Shred Works in San Francisco, California was appointed to the Certification Review Board, which is responsible for protecting the integrity of the NAID Certification Program.

All appointments either stem from vacancies created by term limits or the expansion of the council or committee.

“NAID is unique regarding the depth and overlap of the various chartered boards and councils that oversee programs,” said NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “While it is often difficult to go to such elaborate lengths to ensure integrity and member control, it is the basis of the association’s success.”
