A Consumer Alerts page is now live on NAID’s website. Its purpose is to warn consumers of false or misleading information in the marketplace and to post public sanctions resulting from ethics violations.

“The Consumer Alerts page was one of the most popular pages on the NAID website before it was removed six years ago during a website renovation,” said NAID President Steve Richards, CSDS. “We’ve brought it back because there is currently no other place to inform customers of issues that put them at risk.”

NAID will aggressively promote the new page as a consumer protection tool.

“In coming weeks, more information will be added to help customers separate false claims from reality,” added Richards. “The price for misleading consumers has suddenly become a lot higher.”
