NAID CEO Bob Johnson will speak at two major electronics recycling events in the coming months.

At E-Scrap 2015 in Orlando, Johnson will be a featured speaker at the new E-Scrap Academy in a session titled, “Wading Into the Materials Stream.” His role in the discussion is to highlight strategies for limiting client and service provider liability related to data protection compliance requirements. Johnson has also been commissioned to write an article titled for next edition E-Scrap magazine which is released in coordination with the E-Scrap conference. The article will highlight the growing trend for clients to rely on service providers to assist them in the compliance requirements and reporting. The E-Scrap 2015 will be held Sept. 1-3 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida.

Later in the fall, Johnson will speak at the 2015 Electronics Reuse Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. The title of the session is “Using Data Protection Regulations to Increase Sales and Protect Your Business.” The event will be Nov. 2-4 at the Sheraton New Orleans.

“We are excited and proud to have been invited to speak at these events,” said Johnson. “It not only reflects the high regard held for NAID in the electronics recycling community, but it also helps us separate fact from fiction in the marketplace, which, in turn, helps service providers better serve the interests of their customers.”

NAID will be announcing a number of other speaking and authorship events in the coming months, concentrating on consumer audiences as well as service providers.
