Though all data protection regulations require the designation of a person directly accountable for compliance to the law, most organizations fail to do so.

In his recent blog, NAID’s CEO Bob Johnson points out that this fact provides a golden opportunity to change the discussion with clients unaware of the risk of ignoring this requirement. By introducing the concept, the service provider exposes a big potential problem while, at the same time, raises the discourse to one of compliance instead of pricing.
