NAID is proud to announce it has engaged Emma Heath of Sydney, NSW, Australia, to serve as the regional executive director for its Australia/New Zealand chapter (NAID-ANZ).

Heath, already a well-known and highly-regarded association executive, will be responsible for promoting the association to potential members in the region as well as promoting the use of members’ secure destruction services by consumers and increased awareness on the importance of proper information destruction in general.

No stranger to data protection, privacy and compliance issues, Heath also currently serves as the general manager for the regional chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professional (iappANZ).

According to NAID-ANZ Chairman and NAID Director Paul Hurst of South Australia-based GREEN TEAM SHRED-SAFE, the addition of a local advocate to promote the association is a strong indication of NAID’s commitment to sustaining the chapter’s success.

“Information destruction services in Australia and New Zealand have many challenges,” says Hurst. “The good news is that those challenges are dramatically outweighed by the opportunities. Ms. Heath’s experience and competence will allow us to move to the next level.”

NAID-ANZ currently represents 62 service provider locations, a significant number of which have gone on to become NAID AAA Certified.
