PHOENIX, ARIZ – The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) is proud to announce that The Information Management Group (TIMG) formally Online Security Services of Wellington, New Zealand, has achieved NAID AAA Certification status. In doing so, the firm becomes the first secure information destruction service in the nation to be awarded the industry’s highest and most recognized international operational security accreditation.

According to NAID’s chief executive officer Bob Johnson, this is good news for TIMG as well as the company’s customers.

“Regulations require clients to verify the security and regulatory compliance of the data-related service providers they hire,” says Johnson. “Because NAID certification does this, it fulfills the customer’s due diligence requirement while also giving them the peace of mind their client data is safe.”

Ben Pryor, General Manager NZ for TIMG says they made the investment to assure customers that they meet the highest international standards and highest level of third-party scrutiny.

“NAID AAA Certification is widely accepted around the globe for requiring the most intense inspection and enforcement regime in the secure destruction industry,” says Pryor. “Being subject to both scheduled and unannounced audits by an accredited security professional is critical to ensuring compliance at all times.”

TIMG is currently NAID AAA Certified for the physical destruction of paper records, micro media, computer media and other non-paper media.
