The NAID Board of Directors has appointed two industry veterans to serve as directors to oversee the association’s Downstream Data Coverage initiative.

Effective Oct. 14, Shafer Gabrel of Texas-based Data Shredding Services of Texas and Mike Whyte of New York-based Regional Computer Recycling & Recovery have been officially installed as voting members of the NAID Worldata Holding Company (NWHC) Board of Directors.

NWHC is the member-owned NAID subsidiary responsible for the oversight and success of the Downstream Data Coverage professional liability initiative.

According to NWHC Chairman Tom Simpson, both men share a sharp business acumen and dedication to the goal of creating appropriate coverage that offers the advantages of a Captive insurance program.

“We’re very lucky to have these professionals join our team,” says Simpson. “To have professionals of such high caliber understanding the overwhelming benefits this project can bring to our whole industry says a lot about them and affirms NAID’s overall vision for this project.”

Gabrel and Whyte join the other members of the NWHC Board of Directors Tom Simpson of Illinois-based AAA Certified Confidential Security Corp., Ken Williams of Illinois-based The Shred Authority, Tim Oberst, CSDS of Ohio-based Ohio Mobile Shredding and Nate Segal of Ohio-based AccuShred.
